How to Assign Starters

The Whiteboard Projector is a fantastic tool for the start of your lesson. It allows you to cast a quiz or PDF worksheet directly onto your interactive whiteboard, complete with a built-in countdown timer to keep your class focused.

Launching a starter is a quick two-step process:

Step 1: Set the Starter Activity

1. From your Teacher Dashboard, click the Whiteboard Starters tab.

2. Click the green Select Activity & Launch button.

   A popup will appear asking for two details:

   • Target Class: Select the class sitting in front of you.
   • Select Resource: Choose the PDF worksheet or Interactive Quiz you want to display on the board from your Resource Library.
3. Click Launch Projector to lock it in for that class.

Step 2: Open the Projector on your Board

1. Look at the main navigation bar at the very top of your screen.
2. Click the orange ★ Starters button.
3. This opens the dedicated Projector screen. Simply select your class, and the resource will open in full-screen "Projector Mode", ready for the students to complete as soon as they walk into the room!

💡 Pro Tip for Teachers: You don't have to just use this for starters! It is also incredibly useful for setting a Mark Scheme as the starter activity at the end of a lesson so students can peer-assess their work on the board.
